Today’s Assignment:

Commit to exercising…for today. I know you’ve been beaten over the head with reasons why exercise is important to your health & well-being. It relieves stress, it releases feel good chemicals in the brain, it helps you lose weight & it makes you look and feel better, younger & more vibrant. But you know that already. What you may not know is that you can experience the benefits of exercise even if you only do it today. You don’t have to be a seasoned runner to experience that runner’s high they all rave about. And if you like it? There’s always tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day…

♥ A handy-dandy checklist of exercise benefits.
♥ If you’re a woman–& a weight watcher–this might interest you: Women are underestimating just how much exercise they need to avoid gaining weight.

♥ I love love love You can search from over 90 free full-length workout videos, from yoga and pilates to abs & strength training. My favorite Exercisetv video isn’t up on their site anymore, but you can find it at Hulu Hulu is also a good place to search for other exercise programs you might like.
♥ Jump rope (in your kitchen, if you must!)
♥ Dance to your favorite playlist.
Yoga Today–one awesome, free yoga class each week (& more if you’re willing to dole out the cash. Totally worth it!)
♥ Don’t have dumbbells or other exercise equipment? Use milk jugs as weights (& check out my other exercise tips for the young & cheap over at College Candy: Too Broke for the Gym).
